Berger McDermott LLP, a nationally-recognized business law boutique firm located in downtown Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a full-time, onsite Receptionist/Legal Assistant to provide reception coverage and entry-level legal administrative support.

Requirements
– 1-2 years general office or other client-facing work experience
– Outgoing, professional demeanor: understands the importance of first impressions
– Enthusiastic and collaborative; eager to learn and apply new skills
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Sound judgment; ability to communicate with tact and discretion
– Good organizational skills; attention to detail
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
– Able to work in office full-time
– Able to lift/carry 25 lbs. on occasion
Responsibilities
– Open the office at 8:30 a.m. each morning
– Receive clients and guests at the front desk and ensure their needs are met while visiting
– Foster a friendly, welcoming “first-class” environment for clients, guests, and co-workers
– Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls
– Ensure reception area and common spaces are tidy and presentable
– Provide general administrative and legal support for Corporate and Business Transactions team
– Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
